Another major milestone in System Logistics’ ongoing high-bay warehouse project in Switzerland: the stacker cranes have been successfully installed, marking the transition into a new phase of the project.
40 Metres High – State-of-the-Art Technology
Standing nearly 40 metres tall, the stacker cranes will play a central role in the fully automated high-bay warehouse. Each crane is equipped with a double load handling device (double LHD), allowing two pallets to be transported per cycle. This ensures maximum throughput and an optimized material flow between the conveyor technology and the racking system.
Next Phase: Conveyor Technology and Electric Floor Conveyor
With the installation of the stacker cranes, the next phase of the project has begun. The focus is now on:
- Installing the conveyor technology for internal material transport.
- Installing the electric floor conveyor for ground-level material supply.
Both components are essential for ensuring the smooth operation of the overall system once it is commissioned.
