Flexible storage capacity expansion & gradual integration into production

For Pilsner Urquell (CZ-Pilsen), we implemented an automated high-bay warehouse with a connecting electric floor conveyor for production and shipping. As a particular challenge, the storage capacity was increased in two stages at different times.
To this end, the existing racking aisles were extended during ongoing operations in phase II.
The production facilities were also fully integrated into the automated material flow over several construction stages.
Everything is centrally managed and orchestrated by the System Logistics Software Suite.

Task: Increase production capacity and centralize logistics at an established location.

Solution: High-bay warehouse (silo, double depth) + electric floor conveyor to connect goods receipt, production & shipping + gradual expansion of storage capacity by extending the storage aisles + step-by-step connection of the production lines, including automated truck loading + central WCS.

KPIs: 41.500 storage spaces, high-bay warehouse 42m high, · ≈390 pallets/hour, electric floor conveyor, automatic truck loading
