With the official opening of the latest intralogistics project at Pilsner Urquell (Plzeňský Prazdroj) in Pilsen, another major project has been successfully completed – the third in a long-standing and well-established partnership. This article takes a closer look at what lies behind this milestone.
Five Filling Lines Seamlessly Integrated
At the heart of the project is the automated connection of five filling lines to the existing high-bay warehouse – including two lines with automated empty-container supply. The technical implementation is highly sophisticated:
Full product pallets are transferred directly to the monorail via a mezzanine level and a total of 11 vertical lifts, from where they are automatically stored in the high-bay warehouse.
Automated truck loading was also integrated into the overall process. A pallet exchange system and an inspection system for the empty-container process ensure maximum process reliability.
The result: a fully automated material flow – from the filling line all the way to the truck.
Mezzanine Solution Added: The Third Major Project
Following the successful implementation of two high-bay warehouses, the existing system was expanded with a state-of-the-art mezzanine solution. The official opening therefore marks not only a technical milestone, but also an important milestone in the partnership.
Over the course of several years and three major projects, a strong collaboration has developed based on mutual trust, open communication and constructive project management.
